The Boat
Step aboard Focus, our 32’ Regulator center console—fully rigged and ready for any fishing adventure the Northeast has to offer. Powered by twin 300hp Mercury Verados and featuring Sea Keeper Ride, she delivers a smooth, stable ride even in offshore conditions. Known for their legendary ride quality, superior construction, and offshore capability, Regulator boats are trusted by serious anglers for performance and reliability.
Focus is equipped with state-of-the-art Simrad electronics to keep you on the fish and ensure safe navigation. Your safety is our top priority, Focus is equiped with a full suite of U.S. Coast Guard-approved safety gear, including an inflatable life raft, EPIRB, Type 1 life vests, throwable life ring, flares, and a fully stocked first aid kit. Wherever our adventures may take us Focus offers the comfort, safety, and fishability to make your trip unforgettable.
About Focus Charters
The operation
Welcome aboard Focus Charters! I’m Captain Jack, and I’ve been fishing the North Shore waters for years. I started this charter to share the same thrill I get every time a rod doubles over with a striper, tuna, or whatever else decides to bite.
We target a wide variety of species depending on the season, striped bass, cod, haddock, bluefin tuna, bluefish, mackerel, and even sharks like mako and porbeagle. Some days we’re casting topwater plugs into explosive striper feeds, other days we’re trolling or fishing with live bait. However we fish, I’ll tailor the trip to your goals and keep things exciting for everyone on board.
You’ll be fishing from my 32’ Regulator center console. She’s a stout, comfortable boat with plenty of deck space, storage, and all the safety gear you’d expect. There’s also a bathroom on board for convenience. I provide all the rods, reels, and tackle, and most days we’ll even start out by catching our own bait. Fishing licenses and permits are covered, so all you need to do is show up ready to fish.
Family trips are one of my favorites. I love getting kids involved and making sure they have a fun, safe experience on the water. If you don’t have a child-sized life jacket, just let me know, I’ve got you covered. And don’t forget snacks and drinks—fishing works up an appetite fast!
All you really need to bring are the basics: sunglasses, a hat, sunscreen (non-spray), and whatever food or drinks you’d like. Beer is fine in moderation, just no glass bottles or hard liquor, please.
Whether you’re chasing your very first striper or that bucket-list tuna, my goal is simple: to give you a great day on the water, plenty of laughs, and hopefully a cooler full of fish to go home with. I look forward to having you aboard and showing you what these waters have to offer.
